The Prenceton Ocean Model (POM) was used to simulate tidal
currents and residual currents in the Yangtze Estuary.
Different from previous studies on this topic, we emphasized
hydrodynamic exchange between the Hangzhou Bay and the
Yangtze Estuary which was found to be important for mass
